I'm Lawrence G Watkins V, an underwater photographer based in sunny South Florida. My mission is to capture the beauty of the natural world, one pixel at a time.

Having spent much of my adult life in Colorado, the Rocky Mountains ignited my love for the outdoors, but it was my travels that rekindled my passion for photography. In 2018, a move to Hawaii marked the beginning of my journey into underwater photography, spurred by overcoming my fear of the water and becoming a certified diver.

While initially focused on landscapes, my fascination with the ocean deepened with every dive. From Indonesia to Australia, I immersed myself in diving, eventually merging it with photography to capture the enchanting underwater world.

Now based in South Florida, I find inspiration at the Blue Heron Bridge, where I've honed my underwater photography skills. My work has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Scuba Diving Magazine, and showcased by organizations like The International SeaKeepers Society, and the American Chemical Society Symposium Series. I am also proud to have won the January 2024 contest hosted by the South Florida Underwater Photography Society. You can find my imagery at Pura Vida Divers, Reef Photo & Video, and Uncle Cal's Dive Club.
